Opening Ceremony Tickets
The spectacle of the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games Opening Ceremony will be like no other event in Seattle. The Opening Ceremony kicks off six extraordinary days of competition and special events where the abilities of athletes with intellectual disabilities will be celebrated at the national level. Spectators will be immersed in the spirit of the Pacific Northwest while witnessing ceremonial traditions such as the Parade of Athletes and the lighting of the Special Olympics Flame of Hope.
Actor-singer Taye Diggs will serve as emcee with musical performances by multi-GRAMMY nominated singer, songwriter and producer Charlie Puth, world renowned DJ and producer Marshmello, singer-songwriter Allen Stone, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Ann Wilson of Heart, Seattle hip hop crew Massive Monkees and more. A 2,018-member choir, one of the largest vocal ensembles in Washington State history, will also serve as a living backdrop to the show.
The Opening Ceremony will take place:
- Sunday, July 1. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and the show will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m.
- University of Washington Husky Stadium
- General admission tickets are $20 and reserved seating is $65.
Patio Suites for 4 and VIP Luxury Suites for 20 are also available for purchase. Both suite options have access to the Founder’s Reception at the beautiful Club Husky on the south side of Husky Stadium prior to Opening Ceremony. The reception will be a gathering place for sponsors, VIPs, stage performers, and Honored Guests to mix and mingle. We will also honor Special Olympics founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver.
